Canterbury Bicycle Club organises rides for recreation and training on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The Saturday ride leaves at 9am from Canterbury West railway station forecourt, and the Wednesday ride departs from the same place at 5.30pm.
From Saturday May 9, 2015, all rides leave from the Miller’s Arms in Mill Lane. We run two rides on a Saturday: CBC Black, about 45 miles, averaging 18-19mph, and CBC Orange, about 35 miles averaging 12-16mph. We occasionally also run CBC Yellow introductory rides for those new to road cycling or new to cycling in a group.
The club has a Facebook page featuring news and route updates, so please follow the club on FB and contribute to the discussions. The club’s Twitter profile is @CBC1877, and the club is also on MapMyTracks and Strava. CBC is affiliated to British Cycling, where new members can join the club.
Organisers: Richard Archer, Ian Ashton, Bob Barman, Rachel Cornish, Sam Durkin, Jon Harris, Piers Hazelgrove, Bob Kinsella, Tim Long, Tim Rhodes, Jon Williamson, Zoe Woodward
